Episode 187 | Find Yourself a Stunt-Double with Jessica Honegger, Liz Bohannon, and Jenni Catron

During the Covid pandemic, 150 million people were pushed back into global poverty and 20 million girls left the classroom, many to never return again. For companies like Noonday Collection and Sseko Designs, continuing to provide economic opportunities for the communities they have been supporting for over a decade became even more critical - and the best way to do it was by doing it together.

In this week’s episode, Jenni talks with Jessica Honegger, founder of Noonday Collection, and Liz Bohannon, founder of Sseko Designs. Jessica and Liz recently went through a merger & acquisition process and are now serving as co-owners of Noonday Collection. Noonday Collection works with over 30 artisan businesses and over 2500 artisan partners around the world, and has funded a million dollars of adoptions for families in the US.

Jess and Liz share the mission and values that drive them, their passion for collaboration over competition, how going forward together was better for both of them, and what it means to now have a stunt-double business partner.

They also answer questions about how they merged cultures, how coaching helped them work through the change, and why keeping short accounts and giving generous assumptions are critical to their day-to-day success. Jess and Liz model what healthy, God-honoring leadership looks like and what it looks like to collaborate, not compete, as they lean into the best of each other.
